Make A Simple Peasant Medieval Costume

Whether you are dressing up for Halloween or going to a Renaissance fair, you do not have to spend a fortune to look the part. You can make a simple peasant costume out of a few materials. You do not even have to know sew. Making a peasant costume is quick and easy.

Instructions

1. Put both skirts on. Tie a knot one side of the top skirt. Make sure you can see the skirt underneath the top skirt.

2. Put on your white peasant top. Try to find a top that is off the shoulders.

3. To turn your vest into a corset, take the buttons off the vest. Cut small holes in the places where the buttons were. Make sure there are equal number of holes on both sides of the vest. The holes should line up with the button slits on the other side of the vest.

4. Use the rawhide to lace up the front of the vest. Lace up the vest really tight so it looks like a corset.

5. Finish off your costume with ankle high boots and your pendant necklace. A cross or coat of arms pendant will look most authentic. Wear your hair down and slightly messy. Rub a little black or brown eyeliner on your face to look dirty.
