Draw A Teddy Bear

Draw a Teddy Bear

Drawing a teddy bear can be relatively simple and can be very relaxing, even for the artistically challenged. All you need to know is draw basic cylinder, cone and circle shapes and place these shapes to create a realistic looking bear.

Instructions

1. Sketch a circle which will be the basic shape of the head.

2. Add half circles at the top of the circle for ears. Then draw a very short cone near the center of the face to create a nose.

3. Draw 2 cylinders at an angle from the head. These shapes will be the 2 arms.

4. Place the tip of your pencil and make a mark about 1/4 to 1/2-inch below the left arm. Draw a line from the arm to the mark to create the torso. Sketch in the torso from the right side to match the left side.

5. Add 2 cylinders for the legs and adjust the angles until they look right. Your bear should look like its sitting.

6. Draw small circles for the eyes and the snout. Add the nose and the mouth wherever on the snout they look best.

7. Give the teddy bear hair by sketching in short strokes along the edges beginning at the top of the head and working down. Smudge the edges to create a fuzzy look.
