Make An Octopus Costume

Your child has just received an invitation to a costume party, and you're both wondering what he should go as. Don't stick him with the usual outfit. Custom make an octopus costume that will make him stand out from the other guests.

Instructions

1. Purchase 3 pair of opaque purple tights. If you cannot find purple tights, you should buy black opaque tights instead.

2. Cut the tights in half at the crotch and fill each leg with filler. Pin or sew the top of the legs to keep the filler inside.

3. Buy a purple hooded sweatshirt, preferably one with a drawstring around the hood so that you can pull the hood tight around your face. If you cannot find a purple hooded sweatshirt or have purchased black tights to use as legs, than buy a black hooded sweatshirt.

4. Attach three stuffed tights to the front of the sweatshirt, and three to the back along the neckline. Put the open end toward the top of the sweatshirt. You can either attach the tights by sewing them on, or you can use large safety pins.

5. Wear purple or black pants with your sweatshirt to complete the costume.
