Create A Newsletter For A Daycare

Create a newletter for your daycare on your own

A daycare center is place where parents and guardians leave their children to be cared for during a certain period, perhaps while the parent is at work. A sprawling industry in the United States, a newsletter is a great way to help grow your business. Engage clientele, while simultaneously building your reputation in the community by creating a newsletter for print or email distribution. With a little ingenuity and consistency, you can produce a daycare newsletter on your own. In time, your newsletter will turn into a tremendous communication tool between you and clients, and in the measure, manage to do some marketing work for you.

Instructions

1. Evaluate your clientele. Determine the best way to distribute your newsletter (i.e. a print publication that you can send via snail mail or be picked up at your daycare center, or an email newsletter, which can be made in the body of an email or attached as a PDF file). Decide how often you would like to send it out. Draft prospective sections for your newsletter, perhaps a "spotlight" on one of the kids and their parent, updates on new services, or a list of children's book suggestions, for instance. Plan for your content ahead of time, and don't forget to include photographs.

2. Create the content for your newsletter. Design a logo in a graphic design program like Adobe Photoshop or Corel PaintShop Pro. Or, use your daycare company logo as your main logo instead of designing a new one. Take photographs of people featured in your newsletter, or possibly a page of pictures showcasing the daycare children engaged in fun activities. Edit your newsletter thoroughly before publication.

3. Publish your newsletter. If you will send an email newsletter, find software to help you design email HTML newsletters. If you have decided on a print newsletter, find a local print shop to print your publication, or print it yourself and copy it at a copy store.

4. Market your newsletter. Encourage your clientele to sign up for or subscribe to your newsletter. Make it easy for readers to unsubscribe to your newsletter, if you distribute it via email. Add a section that allows readers to offer their suggestions and/or tips. Place print newsletters in an easy to find place in your daycare center.
