Polish Aluminum Parts

Polishing Aluminum parts is easy and can be done either by machine or by hand. Doing it by machine, such as a buffing wheel or cone, can take less time than doing it by hand, but either way is fairly easy. Follow these simple steps on polish aluminum parts by hand. Your parts will look brand new in no time.


Instructions


1. Use an aluminum polish, along with a soft rag. Remember, you can polish aluminum by machine or by hand.


2. Place the polish into the rag. Work the polish into the rag, so that the polish is spread fairly evenly on the rag.


3. Begin polishing your aluminum parts, continue even if the cloth turns black.


4. Use a clean and soft towel to dry off the polish. After you are finished buffing the Aluminum with the soft towel, inspect the part to see if any further polishing or buffing is required.


5. If the aluminum part is very rough, you need to use a course emery board on the Aluminum before polishing. After you use the course board, use a medium one as well. Follow with a fine board.
