Write Names In Bubble Letters

Bubble letters, with their round edges and large letter bodies, are fun to doodle, add a dash of creativity to letters, and are suitable for signs and flyers. Bubble letters give names and other words and phrases a happy, carefree vibe. They can have simple outlines in black or colors, or you can fill them in with colors to make a balloon effect.

Instructions

1. Doublecheck the spelling of the name.

2. Find examples on sites that specialize in bubble-letter writing and proper form. Pick one site to focus on, and use that as your guide.

3. Practice drawing all the letters in the alphabet in bubble style. Take extra care to perfect the letters in the names you want to write. If drawing the bubble letters is too difficult at first, start out by tracing them with tracing paper.

4. Decide how big to make the bubble letters. Using a ruler and pencil, create horizontal lines on the paper, separated by the desired height of the bubble letters. This prevents the letters from trailing down the page crookedly and prevents size discrepancies among letters.Even the best artist's bubble letters look good only if they are consistent in size and follow a line.

5. Use a guide. Keep a copy of all your bubble letters from practice. Consult the practice letters as a reminder of form before you begin drawing the name and whenever you need help in the process.

6. Even if your bubble-letter name will be in color, do the outline in pencil first. Keep an eraser nearby, since mistakes are inevitable.

7. After drawing all the letters in pencil and correcting mistakes, get out the markers and pens to decorate your bubble letters. Some examples of bubble letter decoration include coloring each letter a different color, tracing the outlines of the letters, alternating colors between letters or drawing balloon bottoms on the letters and strings beneath them.
