Make An Animated Character Online

We all love animation. Those quirky characters can express things that you or I just can't. But the great thing is that it's now possible to make your own animated character online. And it can even be based on you. All you have to do is go to JibJab.com, and in no time you can have an animated version of yourself doing all sorts of things. The steps below will show you do it.

Instructions

1. You first need a cutoff photo of your head or someone else's. You can create this easily enough in Photoshop or any other graphics program using the Crop tools. Save it as PNG file of less than 3MB in size.

2. Go to the JibJab site, and sign up for an account. JibJab will let you go through the following process, but without an account, you can't save or send the result.

3. Click on one of the available animation template categories you can use (in this case, Dance). This brings up a selection of dances. Pick one. Click Personalize and Send.

4. This gives you the option of loading your head image or using one of the pre-made JibJab heads. Load your own. For this article's purpose, we will use a pre-made head. Drag the head, or heads, onto the image.

5. Click Preview to see how the animation looks. If you like it, click Done, and send it to whomever you like.
