Draw Cows

Learn draw a cow.

Cows are used for many things: beef, dairy and manure for our gardens come from cows. Cows, or cattle, are one of the largest animals to be domesticated by people, and they are one of the most recognized farm animals. However, cows are also recognizable cartoon characters and can be drawn in many different ways. There are many tutorials online on draw cows (see References), and each of them with a different level of complexity. Cows don't have to be hard to draw--even small children can learn draw cows.

Instructions

1. Draw an oval shape at the center of a blank sheet of drawing paper. Use a pencil to make the drawing.

2. Draw two upside-down "U" shapes above the oval, touching the oval. These will be the eyes.

3. Draw two small circles inside the oval, close to the top and center of the oval. These will be the cow's nostrils. Color in the nostrils using the pencil.

4. Draw a long, semi-curved line across the bottom of the inside of the oval for the cow's mouth.

5. Draw two circles inside the upside-down U-shaped eyes for the pupils and color these in with the pencil; leave only a small dot of uncolored space at the center of each pupil.

6. Draw eyelashes on the top of the upside-down U shape.

7. Draw a circle around the eyes, but without getting into the oval shape. This will be the cow's head. On each side of the head, draw elongated ears.

8. Draw two little triangles sticking out of the top of the head for the horns.

9. Color in the cow using whatever colored pencils, crayons or markers you want.
