Draw Cute Anime Stick Figures

Draw an artistic anime stick figure.

Stick figures are a simplified representation of the human, but are often so oversimplified that they are passed off as child's art. Add expression and detail to your stick figure art by drawing an anime stick figure that expresses the cartoon's unique body shape and facial features. This cute anime design will make you the envy of your friends, showing them that stick figure drawing is an art form rather than a childish pastime.

Instructions

1. Draw a circle to outline the anime's head.

2. Draw a straight line extending downward from the circular head. This will become the stick figure's neck and torso. Use a ruler or straight edge, if desired, to draw a straight line.

3. Draw two lines extending downward from the bottom of the torso line, to form the stick figure's legs. Make these leg lines slightly long for the body, as anime typically have long legs.

4. Position your pencil along the neck-torso line right where you think the stick figure's shoulder should be. Draw lines for each of the anime's arms. To create a bent arm, draw an angled line.

5. Add facial features to the stick figure's face. Sketch a horizontal line through the circle to divide it in half. Draw a pair of large, circular eyes along the line. Add a small line for the nose, half the distance between the eyes and the chin, and a larger line for the mouth, positioned beneath the nose.

6. Draw the anime's hair. Use long, curvy V-shaped lines to draw the anime's locks of hair. You can make the hair long or short, depending on whether you would like to draw a girl or a boy anime.
