Create an anime character profile by writing a character backstory.
Knowing the history of your anime character is an important aspect of creating a persona to which your fans are able to relate. To build the most believable character, you must sculpt his backstory while considering different areas such as upbringing, beliefs, education and relationships. This will help you determine the major aspects of his life that make him the character he is today.
Instructions
1. Give your character a name and construct her physical appearance. You can do this by drawing her, or you can write down her physical traits in a list and draw them later on paper or in a computer program. Things to consider include sex, height, weight, complexion, hair color, the types of clothing she wears and any physical imperfections such as scars. You may also wish to list any special abilities she has, such as extreme physical strength, magical abilities or supernatural abilities.
2. Make a list of the major influencing factors through his childhood. This list should include aspects such as his socioeconomic class, his occupation, education, upbringing, political leanings and spiritual beliefs. For example, your anime character may have been born into poverty but is now living a rich and lavish lifestyle.
3. Write about factors that are more personal to your anime character. Psychological factors have significant influence over your character's profile, and fleshing these aspects out into a list will bring you to a deeper understanding of who she is. For example, you can write about her sex and love life, her moral standards, her strengths and weaknesses and her major goals in life. You may also wish to go into deeper details about things like her Zodiac sign, likes and dislikes and any mental or emotional problems she may have.
4. Make a list of important considerations such as location, birthday, pets and hobbies to get to know your character better. You can talk about his birthplace, current issues he is facing or recent life events that affected him significantly. Here you can list information about his family members and his relationships with siblings, parents and close friends. This is also a good time to consider what age he is at the beginning of your story
