Artists need live models for their work.
A live model for an art class is an important component for fully understanding sketch or draw the human body. If you're modeling for a group or class, there are key points to keep in mind to ensure you give the best angles and shapes without allowing your muscles to tense up. You will need to hold one position for a while, and knowing pose will help you to stay comfortable and relaxed.
Instructions
1. Wear clothes that fit close to your body, like leggings or a leotard, so the artists can see the angles of your shape. Make sure the clothes aren't constricting, though, such as tight jeans that might restrict your movement.
2. Wear shoes that are easy to slip off in case the artist want to see your feet for her sketching.
3. Sit on a round stool so that you can keep your balance and be comfortable while posing. A stool with no back will also allow you to turn 260 degrees, so you can change angles if needed.
4. Sit in a position that creates angles and shows off your limbs, like hands on your hips or legs placed at an angle, so the artists can see all parts of your body.
5. Have a water bottle on hand. Staying hydrated will help you avoid becoming tense or cramped while holding one position.
