2. Select a dragon design that suits you. Many of the websites that instruct you draw dragons will show you different approaches. The approach you choose will depend upon whether you want to draw a dragon flying or simply sitting with its wings tucked in. For a beginner, choosing a website that shows draw a simple dragon will work best.

3. Open your browser and refer to the online resource you want to use as you draw your dragon. This is why it is important to use websites that show the drawing process. Seeing the lines as they are drawn can be helpful. That is the benefit of learning to draw dragons online. Begin with the dragon's head. Extend a line from the head at a downward angle, toward the bottom of the paper. This line should be as long as you want your dragon's neck to be.

4. Draw two circles on the top portion of the head for eyes. Draw a forked tongue extending from the mouth, then small triangles along the inside upper and lower portion of the mouth for teeth.

5. Draw a line that begins at the end of the neck and extends toward the back of your dragon. When you've drawn this line as long as you need it to be (depending upon how large your dragon will be), draw two curved lines that meet at the end in a point. This will form the tail. Draw a triangle attached to the end of the tail, with the pointed section away from the dragon. Draw triangles along the dragon's back, with the pointed section pointing up.

6. Draw a line extending from the tail to the underside of the dragon's neck. This will form the belly of your dragon. Draw four tube shapes along the bottom of the dragon, with one slightly offset from the other to give the appearance of legs. Draw a rounded shape at the end of each leg for feet, then curved lines for claws at the end of the feet.

7. Draw a web-shape on the upper portion of the dragon's body for a wing. Draw two vertical lines in this shape to create the bone structure of the wing. Draw a second wing similar to the first, with only a portion of it visible because this second wing will be partially hidden.
