Make a Valentine Card for Your Girlfriend
A homemade card can symbolize many things to your girlfriend. It can be seen as inspiring, thoughtful and romantic, while expressing that you care enough to put forth effort to show your appreciation. A pre-made card can display these qualities, but it does not have the same sentimental value. You do not have to be a creative person or an artist to do this; all you need is a little bit of time.
Instructions
1. Plan the design of the card in your head. Think about how you would like the overall layout to look, and the features you would like to include. This layout will consist of a design on the front flap, a personal message on the top flap and a hand-drawn picture on the bottom flap. Rearrange this layout to fit your design needs.
2. Write her name on the front flap of the card. Be sure that it takes up about half of the width and height. You can use the markers to make the writing thicker and more colorful.
3. Cut out designs from the construction paper. Cut at least four hearts, ranging in size and color. Some additional ideas are flowers, clouds and arrows.
4. Glue the designs onto the front flap of the card. These can be placed in the corners, around her name or randomly spread out.
5. Add a personal message on the top flap. Topics you can cover include how she makes you feel, why you two are together or where you see your relationship going.
6. Draw a picture on the bottom flap. This picture can be anything you want. A few examples are: where you had your first date, a fancy romantic evening or an extravagant destination. Use the markers to color in the photo. If you are not artistic, you can print a photo or cut one out of a magazine.
