Make Faux Tiger'S Eye With Polymer Clay

Instructions


1. Work the polymer clay. Take a section of color and roll between your hands and fingers, working the clay until it is soft and easily pliable. Do this with each color you will use.


2. Roll a color of polymer clay on your lucite work surface. Set this aside. Do this with each color you will use in your faux tiger's eye. For tiger's eye, you should choose black, browns, yellows and golds to get the right effect for your jewelry.


3. Take three or four ribbons of color and overlap slightly.


4. Run this group of polymer clay through the pasta machine. This will create a large section of polymer clay that now resembles the variations of a tiger's eye.


5. Cut a section to work with; make sure you have several colors in this section.


6. Roll gently into a either a round ball or a long tube. This creates a polymer clay faux tiger's eye bead, which can then be made into jewelery.


7. Pierce a hole through your newly made tiger's eye bead with a toothpick or a long skewer. Bake according to manufacturer's directions.
