Paste A Poster On Canvas

Repurpose a used art canvas to mount a poster.

Posters are a convenient way to get an affordable copy of your favorite piece of art. Posters are inexpensive, versatile and can be found in a variety of stores. Many people choose to frame their posters to prevent wear and tear. However, you may opt for a more artistic look for your posters by mounting them on a canvas. Mounting a poster on a canvas makes it stand out from your wall in a dramatic display.

Instructions

1. Purchase a canvas with the same measurements as your poster. If you have a poster in an irregular shape, you will need to place a custom order for a canvas from an art store or frame shop. Next, purchase a craft glue appropriate for textured surfaces.

2. Apply the craft glue around the surface of the canvas. Creating an "X," add two lines of glue diagonally from corner to corner on the canvas.

3. Adhere the poster to the canvas, starting slowly with the top corners until the poster is completely attached. Allow the poster and canvas to dry in a ventilated area.
