Boys Face Painting Ideas

Boys Face Painting Ideas

Face painting, like other artistic crafts, leaves unlimited design potential. Creative face painting artists create images small and large that resemble a wide range of animals, people, places and ideas. Boys have many fun options for having their faces painted including nature scenes, planets and other symbols.

Zoo Animals

Children love to use their imagination to bring to life their favorite animals. Zoo animals are a popular face-painting option for boys since there are a range of both ferocious and friendly animals. Recreate a tiger face mask with orange, yellow, black and white paint, or a bear face mask with black, brown and tan paint. If you prefer to keep things simple using less paint, simply draw a small version of the animal on the boy's cheek.

Celestial Bodies

The sun, stars and planets are another fun way to incorporate various design sizes. The face can be a canvas for an entire solar system or a cheek can reveal a planet and its many moons. Be creative with the design, remembering to quiz the child on which celestial bodies are painted on his face.

Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs can be creatively drawn onto the face. Draw a large Tyrannosaurus Rex on the cheek allowing the mouth of the dinosaur to open along the corner of the boy's mouth giving the illusion that the boy has the mouth of a dinosaur. Dinosaurs are a great option in that they are represented in most colors making it easy to use whatever palette you have to paint the image.

Superheroes

Superhero masks are fun to draw and appear realistic from afar. Batman, Zorro, Superman and Spiderman are just a few of the superheroes to choose from. This option requires more paint as you will need to paint a rich, even coat to ensure the mask is completely filled in and no skin shows underneath.
