Draw A Fairy

Draw a Fairy

As a kid, did you ever read about fairies or dream of seeing them? Did you try drawing them but couldn't? Create those childhood dreams and fantasies on paper by following these simple steps.

Instructions

1. Gather all the drawing materials on the table where you intend to draw.

2. Draw a small circle for the fairy's face.

3. Below the face, draw a vertical rectangle for the fairy's body.

4. Represent the fairy's wings by drawing two semi-circles outwards on the two sides touching the body. Start from the side of the face and finish the semi-circles a little above the finishing point of the rectangle.

5. Draw two smaller semi-circles below the larger ones finishing them where the fairy's body ends. These smaller semi-circles complete the wings resembling those of a butterfly; but you can draw the wings however you want. Experiment with drawing various wing shapes and see what you like best.

6. Add hands and legs. Draw two curved lines on both sides of the fairy's body that will serve as hands and two vertical lines below the body as legs. Add fingers to the hands and legs for details.

7. Draw a straight line as a magic wand in the fairy's hand.

8. Enhance the magical look by drawing a star at the free end of the wand.

9. Add eyes, ears, nose and a smile to the face and halo to the head.

10. Add hair. Experiment with different styles of hair.

11. Make the fairy's skirt. To do so, draw a triangular shape below the rectangle (body of the fairy) and add some curves inside the triangle.

12. Erase unwanted lines and marks from the picture.

13. Color the drawing. Add bright colors to clothes and add color to the background.
