Lavender
Lavender is one of the most soothing smells, used for bath oils, powders, sachets and perfumes. You can easily draw the source of that glorious aroma when you draw lavender flowers. Unlike many flowers, lavender grows on a stalk that contains lots of little blossoms and leaves. They are best illustrated if they are colored in when you're finished---using the color purple, of course.
Instructions
1. Start with the base. Draw two leaves with a third smaller leaf sticking out the bottom.
2. Top off the top. Move your pen several inches above the base you've just drawn. Draw two more leaves with a third smaller leaf sticking out the top.
3. Fill in the middle. Use small, rounded squares, rectangles and circular shapes to fill in the gap between the base and top leaves of your lavender. No two should look identical as each is an individual bloom.
4. Add the stem. Draw a long, thin rectangle coming off the base leaves to act as the stem.
5. Color it in. Use one or two shades of purple, with the darker at the bottom of the blossoms, to color in your flower. Use green to color the base leaves and stem.
