Make Good Anime Characters

Drawing anime characters is a popular hobby.

Anime characters are usually easy to identify because of their vibrant hair colors and crazy emotions. Characters of popular anime have millions of fans in Japan and other nations like the United States. Once a feel for drawing anime characters is obtained, many people are able to draw these characters within minutes. Before creating their own characters, these people practice anime style by drawing popular character creations of others. Some popular anime characters that are commonly drawn are Naruto from an anime of the same name, and Ichigo from Bleach.

Instructions

1. Sharpen your anime style drawing skills by watching anime and drawing your favorite characters. Look at the anime character while you draw at first, but gradually move on to drawing them from memory. The better you are at doing this, the less time it will take you to draw your own anime characters. Do this until you are able to draw anime characters quickly and neatly.

2. List characteristics about your anime character before attempting to draw him. Think about his personality, and ask yourself questions like, "How would he react to someone yelling at him?" Act like you're interviewing your anime character. The more you know about your character's personality, the more realistic and unique he will be.

3. Write down details about your character's appearance. Are her eyes green, blue, or red? How does she style her hair? Does she have freckles or dimples? Record as much as you can about your character's appearance, because you will use this sheet as reference as you get used to drawing your anime character.

4. Start drawing your anime character with a pen and a fresh sheet of paper. Start with one feature of his appearance, like his eyes, and go from there. Draw the character carefully, but don't stress over it if it's not perfect. Use his personality traits to affect how he looks. For example, if he's an unemotional person, don't draw him smiling.

5. Draw the anime character neatly on a new sheet of paper. Since you're copying what you drew on the draft, this picture should be tidy. Go over the drawing with pen if you used pencil for the draft.
