Homemade posters are a quick and efficient way of spreading news, events and more.
Creating a homemade poster is a cheap and easy way to spread the word about garage sales, upcoming events, parties, etc. Posters can also be used for school or business projects. Creating a homemade poster only requires a few supplies, most of which can be found around the house, and a little bit of your time.
Instructions
1. Lay the poster paper on a hard, dry surface. Card stock or metallic paper make great options for posters.
2. Cut the poster paper into a certain shape that relates to your subject (optional). Cut out shapes, photos, or magazine clippings to glue to your poster to add emphasis.
3. Write a title for your poster somewhere near the top in large, eligible letters. Include headings, sub-headings and descriptions if you wish.
4. Glue the cut-out shapes to your poster in various locations. Try and keep the clippings and photos as a border, because you want your subject to be in the center.
5. Design your subject content. Include graphs, pictures, text, etc. Base your content around your clippings and photos.
6. Use colored pencils and markers to decorate the board or add necessary finishing touches. Preserve it in a safe location until you are ready to present it.
