Draw A Yellow Sea Horse

Yellow Seahorses come in other colors.

The Yellow Seahorse is also known as the common seahorse, and has a horse-shaped head and a curled tail at its end. Although called the Yellow Seahorse, it comes in other colors, such as orange, brown, black and spotted. It is one of the larger seahorse species.

Instructions

1. Start with the back of the sea horse, draw a curvy-stemed "J" shape -- from the back of the head down to the tail end. The curve of the back goes inward subtly in the middle. The end of the "J" will also curve inward.

2. Draw the head. Note that the top of the head and front of the nose are a long sideways "L" shape. Draw the jaw hinge as a backwards "L." Connect both of these Ls with a straight line to form the jawline.

3. Draw the front side of the seahorse. Toward the bottom tail-end, draw a smaller "J" to complete the tail. Draw the stomach with a slight bulge.

4. Draw a circle for the eye. For the side fin on the head, draw a sideways triangle without a top point. Draw a fin protruding from the back to appear like a set of spikes, or a crudely draw crown. User a marker to draw over your pencil lines. Color the seahorse yellow.
