Find People'S Email Addresses

Search for an old friend's email and start reconnecting.

In today's technological world, most people have at least one email address, if not multiple. Used more often than a mailing address, an email makes one of the fastest and most common methods with which people communicate and a great way to keep in touch. If you want to reconnect with an old friend, a classmate or a co-worker, you can certainly start by looking for his email address. With a little investigative effort, you can reconnect very quickly with someone with whom you have lost touch.

Instructions

1. Ask friends and family for the email of the person for whom you are looking. They are the closest to him and should know his email address. If you don't know them well, make sure that you explain who you are and that your intention is to reconnect.

2. Search the Web for the person using search engines such as Google or Yahoo! If the person you are looking for has information displayed on a Web page, like a professional website or a blog, his email address might return in search results.

3. Join a networking website. It can be professional, such as Linkedin, or personal, such as Facebook. If you search for the person on one of these virtual networks, you can add him as a contact and gain access to his email, in addition to other information.

4. Look for the person at online directories, such as WhitePages, Spokeo or PeopleFinder. These directories list by name, location and age, enabling you to filter for the person for whom you search. (See Resources)

5. Guess his professional email. If you know that the person works for a certain company and if you have friends who work for the same place, then find out this company's email structure (most companies use the same one, such as first name, period, last name, at domain name, dot com) and try to guess the person's professional email.
