Organize Your Work Portfolio

Create a professional organized portfolio

Do you work for yourself? Do you have a system to keep all work you have done or want to do organized? If not, this can be frustrating come time to show your previous work or future ideas. Having everything together can make a big difference. This article will give you a few tips on creating an organized portfolio.

Instructions

1. Your portfolio represents the skills you have so you want to present your first and foremost skill first. Are you a writer? If so, you would put one of your best pieces first.

2. You want to have somewhere to put all your credits and awards or certificates you have achieved in your area of expertise. These look good and even better when you can display them in an organized way.

3. Have all your work after that. This includes completed samples of work you have previously done. Put them in order by date.

4. Have your own ideas next. You may have a sample of something you have been working on or dreaming up and haven't showed anyone. Include any of these in your portfolio because you never know when the right opportunity may appear for you to show your own ideas.
