Find an unknown email.
It's common to forget someone's contact information. Under such circumstances, it's easier to trace the person's phone number or mailing address over the Internet. Finding email addresses is slightly more difficult. Luckily, there are online email directories and search engines that will help you look for email addresses.
Instructions
1. Use an email search engine. Yahoo, 411, Switchboard and InfoSpace are some of the popular ones (see References for their links). Provide the name of the person. Try different variations of the name, including initials.
2. Try an international email directory, if you're looking for an international email address. See References for the link to a popular international email directory.
3. Try to identify the email address using your knowledge of the person. For example, if you know his company or industry, look for his contact information on the company's website.
4. Try searching the email address on your computer. Click on "Start" menu and select "Search." Type the person's name and select "For People." Your PC will then start looking for the person in the address book and several online search engines.
